CHANGE YOUR APPROACH

CHANGE YOUR APPROACH

Yesterday, I did some transactions somewhere and had to
use the POS. I handed this dude my debit card, he
inserted it and handed the POS back to me so that I could
enter my PIN. Then I entered my PIN and handed the stuff
back to him.
Suddenly, the guy annoyingly thrust the machine back to
me and shouted at me. Oga! Insert your PIN!!!
I was surprised. I said "but I did that just now". Anyway, I
punched in the digits again and handed it back to him.
This time, the guy was furiiiiiiious. Lol...
Through gritted teeth, he said to me "Oga, this rubbish you
entered cannot be the PIN, this is 6 digits, I need you to
enter 4 digits."
That was when I got to understand what was happening. .
. I just smiled and said "press enter, the PIN is correct.
So he pressed enter and he was shocked to see the 6
digits PIN accepted. He could now see that his myopic
sense had been the cause of his frustrations.
He's been so used to the usual stuff that he never thought
any other thing could be possible! Many of us are like
that.
We are too rigid in our approaches. We resent new ways
of doing things and stick to the old ways even when they
don't bring us the desired results!
And when we see game changers with unique ideas, we
start to disturb them from functioning well and freely with
our myopic ways of viewing things.
It's like a dog trying to teach the lion how to hunt in the
jungle.
This applies to song writing skills, singing, and Music production. Don't be too regid that you, ignore to improvise.
